The Christine Blundell Make-up Academy is the leading UK Make-up school run by an Oscar & BAFTA winning Make-up Designer actively working in the industry. All our Tutors who teach the makeup courses currently work as professional Film, TV & Theatre Make-up Artists & Designers. Now in its 17th year, our Makeup Academy offers limitless Post-Graduate Care – until you succeed as a makeup artist. We only run one Make-up course at any one time, with the maximum class size of 16 students. In addition, all our graduates who are eligible to work in the UK will be given the opportunity to join Christine on set, gaining valuable paid experience after completing their makeup course.

Oscar & BAFTA winning Film Hair & Makeup Designer Christine Blundell first feature with Mike Leigh was Life is Sweet, which marked the beginning of a long and successful working relationship that has spanned more than 20 years and produced 10 features including Secrets and Lies, Topsy Turvy, for which Christine was awarded an Oscar & BAFTA in 2000, Vera Drake,to name just a few…Christine also worked with Guy Ritchie and other famous Directors on films like Aladdin, Casino Royale, Wonder Woman, Sherlock Holmes and many more…

I hope this email finds you well? I just wanted to drop you an email to let you know what I’ve been up to lately as it’s been a little while since we have spoken. I’ve recently just finished as the crowd hair and makeup supervisor for “Bridgerton”, a new period drama for Netflix which I’ve been on since May last year. I absolutely loved it and the challenges it brought. I’m definitely looking to do more crowd supervising or supervising on large scale productions like this.
Earlier in the year last year I was an Assistant Designer for a film also, which I enjoyed so much. It made me realise that I definitely aspire to design in the future. Read More

Working on Cruella with Nadia Stacey and the rest of the team was a dream job for me. It drew upon my background in fashion whilst also putting in to practice many of the skills I learned and honed during my time at CBMA.
I had never imagined that my second job after leaving would be something as large as a Disney production but every day was an opportunity to learn and practise and I loved every minute!

Hi, my name is Lisa and I graduated from Christine Blundell Makeup Academy in December 2018.
I live in a little village in the middle of nowhere in Nottinghamshire, I have two girls, horses, dogs and cats! Certainly a far cry from the London lifestyle. I began my career many years ago working mainly in customer relations and also studying and practising holistic therapies.
I have never really felt satisfied in my career choices but could not put my finger on exactly what I wanted to do, I’ve always had a love for make up which has intensified as I’ve got older and had to adapt to my skin changes. I’ve also enjoyed hair for many years which started with plating my pony when I was young to doing my daughter’s hair. Read More
